The best way to predict the future is to invent it

And so here we are, today is our first day in London for this year. It has already had its fair share of wonders....a great english breakfast on airmalta, a very warm welcome from Phil and Anna who met us at the airport and indeed a 16 degrees celcius temperature when here.

On our way here I read a book given to me by two newly wed friends Massimo & Anastasia whom i wish all the best.

One thing that stayed with me from what i read is this marvellous quote:

The best way to predict the future is to invent it. Alan Kay
It kept coming back to me as it depicts so nicely the spirit Roberta & myself came here with, but not only. It captures the true essence of what I understand by living life! so true about all we do in life, alas and so often we spend so much time trying to discover our future, our call our mission. And I don't mean we should refrain from taking time to look for such treasures, such visions!
However I believe we should also realise the great potential we have to be active participants in the future we all so strongly aspire to!
My hope is that this year will be a learning curve to believe more in the message of this quote
My trust, that I will be blessed with many small and less small experiences that will remind it to me
My faith, that in working with the Young Christian Workers I will be able to meet so many persons young in in age; some younger in spirit; to see this in the light of the invitation the Creator constantly provides us with...that of being humble partners with Him, the great project of creation
