Today we bought our tickets. Its 86 days to go for the London experience! I must say its a mix of feelings that accompanies my anticipation of this challenge!

I have been invited by the Young Christian Workers in England and Wales to accompany the YCW team in London for a year starting September 2011.

Roberta and myself are really looking forward to this year, it is the Year of the ICYCW International Council ... and it will happen in London! Thus its a year that promises long days of seeing, judging and acting! But Thats exactly whats great about it! Indeed we are looking forward to be able to do all this with Phil and Anna who will (hopefully) be living with us in community (this too is a new reality we are looking forward to!) while being nearer to family and great friends like Danny, Nicky and so many others im sure!'

Being involved in the run up of the International Council is an honor and a responsibility I am looking forward to and equally humbled awed in view as the task ahead.

However I also feel encouraged by so many friends i know will be with us at heart (and hopefully nearer too sometime;). Friends who i know will be, encouraging, and i hope encouraged through the vision that what Roberta, Myself and the team in London will be doing is done in view of a greater good we are all called for! Make the world a better place! Not because we are indispensable but deeply knowledgeable of the fact that what WE are all called for only WE can make.

I think of my family, collegues at work and especially my friends with whom I've shared so much these past 6 years at ZHN (YCW) in Malta. Especially those who courageously take on further responsabilities in the movement! I look forward to this experience because I look forward to do it with you!

I have pledged with myself to find time to read deeper and write further, and this is the place i'll keep in contact with you! I will share my thoughts, experiences and i'm sure questions! and I'll look forward to challenges, comments and insights!

Cardijn the founder of the YCW told us we are always at the beginning! and indeed thats how it feels! a beginning, new city, new excitement, new job, new colleagues, new friends, with whom i would like to act as a bridge, a link, yet another knot in the great network of people working constantly in many corners of the world to make this world more just, better to live in, as similar as possible to the vision of God's Kingdom! A network called ICYCW through which i was blessed to meet most of you! And what a blessing to met friends with whom you share a mission!

So, I am counting on you, your prayers! Counting to let this year (+86) be one of positive growth for us all as individuals, families friends, and indeed for the YCW in Malta, YCW England and Wales the ICYCW and yes lets claim our vision ...the WORLD!
